Policing web advertising

Advertising on the internet is you would have thought a serious business, but with revenues for the year 2007, the figure was around $36 billion which is a lot of money, but still only around eight per cent of the annual advertising spend across the globe, so there is much scope for improvement or is there?

With the recent acquisition of Yahoo, Microsoft would appear to be in a very strong place to grab some of the advertising budgets, along with Google they could corner the market and get the lions share.

So it would seem that it is the technology sector that is going to control internet advertising, but not directly, this will occur by them seeing a success story and taking it over including all of the advertising that comes along with it.
