What makes a great Digg story?

For many people Digg is a great source of news, but these stories are always the ones that are hitting the front pages of the newspapers or what we may be seeing on the TV. This is what makes Digg so exciting to people and the fact that the top stories are those ones that have been voted for by other Digg users, so what makes a Digg story?

1. A great story rings true.

2. A great story makes a promise.

3. A great story is trusted.

4. A great story is subtle.

5. A great story happens fast.

6. A great story appeals to your desires.

7. A great story inspires a following.

8. A great story doesn’t contradict itself.

9. A great story agrees with your world view.

For these reasons the Digg stories are different and sort after.
