Great list of Linux services

As the season of goodwill gets into full swing its good get something for nothing, well obviously not entirely free but never the less Linux is booming in its many guises. But for newcomers there can be a problem with knowing exactly what they want or need, compared to what they are being offered.

However there is always a solution and it is the Linux distribution list, which is downloaded and then edited to the users specifications and needs, but care should be taken because not all of the services have a full or in fact any description, so care is needed there otherwise an important section may be deleted.

By deleting the non essential service should speed up your considerably, and may even help in making the system more secure.
