The top ten computer viruses

Computer viruses were conceived in the late 1940’s but it was not until some forty years later that they started to come into their own. The early editions had to be distributed by hand, a hacker would put it on a disk and simply hand it out, then they were placed on flash drives, which could be left around, and curiosity did the rest.

But now the virus is distributed through the internet either by email or by infecting normal looking web pages, making it easier for the hacker and a nightmare for anyone else who connects to the internet, so just, what are the ten worst computer viruses.

Melissa
ILOVEYOU
The Klez Virus
Code Red and Code Red II
Nimda
SQL Slammer/Sapphire
MyDoom
Sasser and Netsky
Leap-A/Oompa-A
Storm Worm

How bad can they get? They can wipe out information or turn a computer into a zombie machine, which will continue to recruit other computers.
