Developer asks Pirates, Why?

It is a new trend flowing through the internet. This is where developers of games and software, along with the copyright owners of music, TV and film, are actually trying to sit down and talk to the pirates who upload copies of work to the internet in order for other to use.

The idea is to try to find out why they do it, after all there are many ways of obtaining these products for free or at a reasonable price.

The problem is not necessarily the actual cost, although this could be the case with products that cost hundreds of pounds. However, for items that are less than a pound the question is why?

One of the reasons could be that this is the way that many people want to obtain their music and other entertainment. They do not want to go out and buy a CD; they want to download it in the best and easiest way that suits them.
