Mother uses internet for child’s illness

When Danielle Fisher aged, 13 fell ill, the first port of call would naturally be the local GP but when that fail to work then it was onto the local hospital. However, after six months the girls symptoms of fatigue and headaches remained undiagnosed.

However, when all else fails there is only one place to go for help the internet. The girl’s mother sat down and began to do her research, after a short time she thought that she had found the answer to her daughter’s illness, which was by now getting worse.

The illness, which fit the bill, was Lyme disease; this is caught through an incest bite and if left untreated can caused permanent paralysis or blindness. The girl was taken to see a private doctor who confirmed the illness.

The girl is now on a several course of antibiotics, but it is not known if she will make full recovery. If the illness had been spotted sooner it could have been treated with a simple antibiotic course.
