Blog sites turning into Websites

This has been a growing a trend with what starts off as a blog, maybe a single person airing their views about any subject that takes their fancy. But as a little bit of money comes rolling in, the whole aspect of the blog begins to change, they become more professional more like a website.

However this change appears to up set many webmasters who believe in the separation of website and blog, as we know websites these days have a defined structure which most follow, home page and then precise navigation. This is something that blogs do not have and to be honest should not have, a blog is different. But should a blog owner decide to moreover to becoming a website then there should be no problem, should there?
