$21 billion advertising on the net
Revenues coming from online advertising have for the first time reached $21 billion, this milestone was achieved through the year 2007, and when compared to 2006 which showed a revenue of $17 billion, it is clear that there has been a rise of nearly twenty five per cent.
However the industry is saying that this sort of growth is not likely to continue and these figures have only been possible because of the relatively new market that the internet is. Although is must be said that all internet advertising only accounts for ten per cent of all other advertising, so there is room for plenty of growth although this is not likely to be at such a great rate.
Despite attempts by different adverts to crack the market, by far the most popular and successful type of advertising are keyword adverts, with target specific people who are already looking for similar results through search or other methods.
